What is the purpose of this site?

This website is being constructed in order to provide teachers with resources and a central point to discuss, collect and prepare material to deliver the NSW Board of Studies Information Technology course based upon ICA05.

It's purpose is to try to combine resources from many different teachers in creating resources for the new IT-VET course.

If you would like to contribute then please create a user account and then upload the resource to the resources database.

A teaching program is available to download from http://itvet.org/itvetprogram.zip . You are welcome to share and change it, however I ask that if you do make improvements then you also pass them back so that everyone can benefit. I will attempt to keep this copy up to date with any changes/suggestions that are made so please if you are sharing it link to this site.

The program is based upon the board of studies sample teaching program with a holistic approach to delivering the content.

	The new IT-VET syllabus has been released on the board of studies website. This syllabus has been prepared for implementation from 2007 for year 11. You can download a copy of the new syllabus from here.
